The Bradford Community Broadcasting team (BCB) are calling out all women to take part in their women radio workshops.

BCB Radio will be celebrating International Women’s day by presenting a full day of women’s broadcasting, titled ‘Radio Venus’.

In light of this, BCB are requesting women to come together and take part in their women’s radio workshop and training sessions on Saturday 19th January at 11am.

International Women’s Day takes place on the 8th March and BCB radio usually use this opportunity to involve new women and girls within the organisation, as well as a focus for women to work together on new programmes.

The sessions taking place are to meet up with other women and give thoughts on certain issues an topics that can be discussed during the day.

After Saturday, the sessions will be held on Thursday afternoons at 2-4 pm and on (some) Saturday’s between now and March 8th – the future sessions will be arranged to suit women’s availability and needs.

BCB are urging women and girls to come along on Saturday and to enjoy a day of radio.

If you can’t make it on Saturday and are interested in getting involved email: julie.longden@bcbradio.co.uk or mary.dowson@bcbradio.co.uk
