Black cabs are cutting travel fares in London
By Ninder Kaur
It is no surprise that London’s black cabs are cutting their fares by 30%.
Kabbee is London’s award-winning minicab booking and price comparison app, which launched in June 2011 and aggregates quotes from 65+ fleets, putting 6,000 minicabs at the fingertips of 550K Londoners. It is just another minicab service that is battling against the likes of Uber.
Kabbee’s CEO & Founder, Justin Peters comments on the new cut-price fares offered by London’s black cabs: “This move towards reduced fares for black cabs is really positive for anyone that needs to get from A to B in
London. It’s encouraging more competition, and with competition comes better deals for the passenger – that’s exactly what we aim to provide for every journey booked via Kabbee.
“Kabbee is the only minicab aggregator in London to offer a price comparison service with fixed fares and is 50 to 60% cheaper than black cabs. The demand for cheaper fares, shorter waiting times and a quality cab is increasing more than ever, so it’s in our interests to support anything that helps to deliver these benefits”
The app allows users to pre-book or hail a minicab from a selection of live quotes including closest car, cheapest fare and best-rated fleet, has been downloaded over 554,545 times.
