Rangreza is one of 2017’s most anticipated Pakistani film releases, presented by Munir Hussain Films, the makers of the 2016 blockbuster hit, Janaan, which garnered both critical acclaim and commercial success globally.
The film is believed to be one of the most expensive Pakistani film productions to date, and is set to break a new, record number of countries, as part of its worldwide distribution strategy, establishing a whole new benchmark for Pakistani cinema on a global platform.
Film fans are in for a treat, as the cast will be heading to Bradford tomorrow as part of their UK tour, to talk about their musical romance and to interact with fans.
Actors Bilal Ashraf, Urwa Hocane, Gohar Rasheed and singer/songwriter Asrar Sah will arrive at the Bradford Odeon, in Thornbury on Thursday 7 December at 7pm where fans will get a chance to meet them and to interact with them at the free event.
The film revolves around Reshmi (Urwa Hocane), who belongs to a traditional Qawwal family. She has been engaged since childhood to her cousin Waseem (Gohar Rasheed). Conflict arises when Ali, a famous pop star played by Bilal Ashraf, falls in love with Reshmi.
The film is a journey of how two different classes and schools of thought come together.
