Yorkshire’s newest shopping centre, The Broadway Bradford, is celebrating the region’s emerging fashion talent with the launch of its first fashion-focused pop-up store in conjunction with Fashion Pony, an online fashion retailer that supports and showcases up-and-coming designers across the country. The store will be hosting its official launch event to the public on Saturday 12th March between 9am -7pm.
The store will be open for a limited period only until the end of April and will sell womenswear, menswear and
kidswear and showcase work from 13 West Yorkshire fashion designers from Bradford, Leeds and Huddersfield. Emerging talent includes fashion brand ISAAC AVA, which was recently the only British brand to be invited to showcase on the catwalk during New York City Fashion Week.
Fashion-loving customers will be able to meet and greet the designers this Saturday and see their creations come to life on live mannequins in the store’s windows as well as purchase one-of-a kind designs. Shoppers can also strike a model pose in the Fashion Pony photobooth, enjoy Fashion Pony’s Pick ‘n’ Mix Tweet Shop and could even walk away with a special gift from a designer with hourly prize giveaways throughout the day.
Fashion Pony provides a platform for young designers, independent labels and fashion students to showcase their creations and sell their limited edition, hand-crafted fashion items. The designers available at the Fashion Pony pop-up will include:
- ISAAC AVA
- Ross Barr
- ZaraMia Ava
- Loula’s Boutique
- Isaro Collections
- Gwen Reid
- Ages of Elegance
- Belles Bejewelled
- Dazarockz
- Adorned Clothing
- Bo Carter
- Claire Paver Couture
- Kelly Ewing
Victoria Reddington, co-owner and designer at Fashion Pony, said: “Fashion Pony is totally committed to helping emerging designers get on the road to success and our pop-up shop will put the spotlight exclusively on up and coming designers from West Yorkshire. There is so much talent in the region, but it can be hard to get established. Fashion isn’t just confined to London and we’re delighted to be using The Broadway which has created a real buzz in the city to showcase their creativity and skills. This is a great opportunity – for a limited period – for shoppers to come and see and buy truly unique items, many of which are designed and made right here in Bradford, at affordable prices. I really hope shoppers can join us at our official launch event and show their support for their local talent.”
Antony Foran, Centre Manager at The Broadway Bradford, said: “It’s a real coup for us to be able to showcase such outstanding local talent here in the centre. This is the first pop-up fashion store we’ve launched since opening last November and it really provides something special to our shoppers. The opening event promises to be a real celebration of our home-grown designers and customers could even walk away with their very own Fashion Pony item in the hourly giveaways so it’s well worth a visit on Saturday.”
The Fashion Pony store is located opposite Boots. It’s launch event will take place between 9am and 7pm on Saturday 12th March, with the store remaining open until the 30th April.
