Singer Taylor Swift has become the youngest person ever to make the Forbes “100 Most Powerful Women” list. The  25-year-old star, who has a net worth of an incredible  $200 million, came in at number 64 on the Forbes annual list of the most powerful women in the world.

The list was dominated by politicians, activists and businesswomen and German Chancellor Angela Merkel who made the number position.

Forbes, explained their choice for including Swift in the list: “not only broken record sales and captivated the world with her fantastically honest lyrics, but she has proven herself as an impressive businesswoman.”

Swift has had a very successful career so far.  She is seven-time Grammy winner, has sold more than 40 million albums and 100 million single downloads worldwide – making her one of the best-selling artist of all time.

According to the Forbes website Swift has already earned “roughly $300 million during her career” and invested a large amount of her money into real estate. Swift has homes in Nashville, Tennessee; Beverly Hills, California; New York City and Watch Hill, Rhode Island.

Also leading women on the list included Beyoncé, no.21, Ellen DeGeneres, no.50; Angelina Jolie, no.54; Oprah Winfrey, no.12; and Shakira, no.81. The Queen also managed to make it the number 41 position on the list.
