Technology in India takes another leap ahead with immortalised 3D printed model of SRK

Technology in India has stepped up its game once again with the world’s first 3D printed model of Shahrukh Khan. Khan was immortalised by the Red Chillies VFX team as they gifted the superstar with the model for his birthday which was in November.

IMG_2256Khan expressed his excitement of the model on twitter when he wrote last night “How fantastic is my Team Red Chillies v/fx. Fully made in India the first 3D lifesize printout. My best B’Day present.”

He also mentioned the intricate detailing of the model being so lifelike that it shows the folds in his shirt and his dimples “Even the folds in the shirt and trousers are captured in such detail…and if I may add the dimples too.”

Khan said he was “Excited by this technology” and would be presenting more images to his fans on twitter, which he did. The print, which looks like a metal cast of the actor, has been made in the shape of Khan’s legendary signature step with his arms wide open.

IMG_2255Khan already has a wax statue in New York’s Madame Tussauds and London’s Madame Tussauds and has now been honoured with this model in India.
