The Predator franchise is set to enter a bold new chapter as Predator: Badlands arrives on Disney+ on 12 February, bringing the latest instalment of the long-running sci-fi action series into homes worldwide.
The film expands Yautja lore with the introduction of new characters Dek, played by Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi, and Thia, portrayed by Elle Fanning. The story follows the pair on an underdog hero’s journey shaped by an unlikely alliance. Now the highest-grossing entry in the franchise’s 38-year history, Predator: Badlands has earned $184.5 million worldwide, surpassing the previous record holder, 2004’s Alien vs. Predator, which grossed $177.4 million. Directed by Dan Trachtenberg, the film’s bold vision has resonated with audiences and critics alike, holding a 95% Rotten Tomatoes Verified Hot Popcornmeter score and an 86% Certified Fresh Tomatometer critics rating.
