The highly anticipated Red Sea International Film Festival, the first and only international film festival which is held in Saudi Arabia, Jeddah returns from 5 December, celebrating cinematic excellence from around the globe. This year’s grand opening will honour Bollywood legend Aamir Khan and Oscar-nominated Hollywood star Emily Blunt for their remarkable contributions to cinema. Joining them in the spotlight is celebrated Egyptian actor Mona Zaki, also being recognised for her stellar career.
The festival organisers noted that these honourees were chosen for their “illustrious careers and lasting impact on the film industry,” reflecting the event’s commitment to highlighting trailblazers in global cinema.
Cinephiles will also be treated to an In Conversation With segment which will feature Khan and Blunt, along with other stars providing an in-depth look into their careers and creative processes.
Expressing gratitude for the honour at the 2024 Red Sea Film Festival, Aamir Khan said, “Cinema has been my lifelong passion, and to be amidst such an inspiring group of artistes from across the world is truly humbling.”

Paying a tribute to the actor on their official X handle, the festival organisers shared a post which read, “Known for his exceptional storytelling and dedication to meaningful cinema, Aamir has played a pivotal role in shaping the global perception of Indian films. Join us in celebrating his incredible contributions to the world of film at the festival this year.”
Besides Aamir and Blunt, the fourth edition of The Red Sea Film Festival Andrew Garfield, Eva Longoria, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Ranbir Kapoor will also be gracing the festival.
