Emraan Hashmi’s performance in “Tiger 3” is garnering attention, especially for his portrayal of the antagonist, Aatish Rehman, opposite Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif. In a recent conversation with Zoom, Emraan candidly reflected on an incident that led to him acquiring multiple adversaries within the industry.
The controversy stemmed from Emraan’s appearance on Karan Johar’s “Koffee With Karan” back in 2014, where he made contentious remarks, notably referring to Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as “plastic” during the show’s rapid-fire round. Though he later clarified his stance, Emraan admitted, “Yeah that, I end up making many enemies.” He also highlighted his reluctance towards talk shows, mentioning, “I think it is too much to handle.”
Reflecting on how this incident altered things, Emraan Hashmi expressed, “If I go on Koffee With Karan again, I will end up making a mess of things again. I think I will give worse answers in the rapid-fire round than I did before.” He attributed this to the competitive nature of the show, stating, “It just becomes like a competitive thing. And then you say these weird things.”
In 2014, Emraan Hashmi appeared on the show alongside his uncle, filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, and became embroiled in controversy during the rapid-fire round. His offhand comment about Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and a controversial remark about Shraddha Kapoor’s physique stirred controversy and debate.
