Penguin Michael Joseph are set to publish Nadiya Hussain’s latest cookbook, Rooza on 16 January 2025. This will be Nadiya’s tenth book with the publishers and they have bought the World Rights. Ione Walder, Non Fiction Publisher at Penguin Michael Joseph, said “It has been a joy to work together to spin her recipes into a beautiful, inspirational resource that can be used year after year by those who observe Ramadhan, while offering a journey of discovery to those who don’t.”

The upcoming cookbook is inspired by the celebrations of Ramadhan and Eid. During the month of Ramadhan, the long hours of daylight fasting mean that when mealtimes do arrive, food takes on new significance. Families come together to break their fast whilst observing customs of the period and reflecting on their faith. Meals become an event, planned and anticipated. This is a chance to revisit favourites, embrace the traditional, or try new things. At the end of this month, families also greet one another and exchange gifts for Eid.
Nadiya stated “It is this month that binds us as a family, intertwines us and holds us together through faith, worship, dedication and the meal we share at the end of another day.
Rooza is Nadiya Hussain’s culinary tribute to the holy month. It will take the reader on an exploratory journey of Muslim cuisine, and shine a light on the rituals, traditions and incredible variety of dishes from across the Islamic world. The recipes are inspired by different countries who observe Ramadhan. It includes a variety of main meals and dessert inspirations for each of the 30 days, plus a selection of glorious feasting recipes ideal for the Eid festivities. This is a beautiful and timeless book to treasure, gift and return to year after year.
