Farhan Akhtar has put all the speculations to rest around the third film in the Don franchise.
The filmmaker has announced Don 3. He shared a teaser announcing the film on social media. The announcement video featured the words, “A new era begins”.
While announcing the film, Akhtar refrained from revealing the cast of the much-anticipated film.
However, a few reports suggest that Ranveer Singh will be replacing Shah Rukh Khan as Don in the new film. However, the film’s team has not confirmed the news.
Farhan Akhtar and producer Ritesh Sidhwani had bought the rights of the original, Amitabh Bachchan-led 1978 film Don and remade it with Shah Rukh and Priyanka Chopra Jonas in the lead roles.
They released the first Don in 2006 and came out with the second instalment in 2011, which had SRK and Priyanka reprising their roles.
