A sequel to the 1997 blockbuster ‘Border’, the film is inspired by the Kargil War of 1999. The original film, directed by J.P. Dutta, depicted the heroic Battle of Longewala during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971 and featured an ensemble cast including Sunny Deol, Suniel Shetty, Jackie Shroff, and Akshaye Khanna.
‘Border 2’ is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, J.P. Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta under T-Series and J.P. Films, continuing the legacy of the original with a fresh narrative and a new generation of stars.
While Sunny Deol’s return was announced in June, Varun Dhawan and Diljit Dosanjh joined the cast in the following months, building anticipation for what promises to be a grand spectacle of bravery and sacrifice.
