After being appointed as Dubai’s Sports Ambassador, Sania Mirza’s career continues to reach new heights. With her remarkable achievements in tennis, she has long been seen as a role model, and many have speculated about the possibility of a biopic chronicling her journey. Despite the ongoing discussions around it, Sania reveals that no offers have come her way recently. “A biopic has been on the cards, a lot of people have been talking about it. But I haven’t had offers of late, unless my managers have not told me about any!” she shares with a smile.
While a film about her life remains a possibility, Sania is far from slowing down. Beyond her sporting achievements, she continues to manage her tennis academies, keeping herself busy with a range of professional commitments. Yet, she still makes time for what matters most: her son, Izhaan.
Sania, who became a mother in 2018, frequently posts about her little one, often referring to him as her “forever date.” This year, she welcomed 2025 with a heartwarming picture of the two of them. “No matter what I do in my life, my son Izhaan is always going to be my priority. Even amongst my professional commitments, he will remain that. That doesn’t mean I don’t do other things. I try to revolve my stuff around Izhaan as much as I can,” she says.
As a single mother, Mirza juggles the demands of her high-profile career with motherhood. “I also try to not leave him too much, at max maybe one or two nights if I have to travel for work. All of it works itself out. I try to find a balance,” she adds.
With fame comes the inevitable pressure to maintain a certain image in the public eye. Sania acknowledges the responsibility that comes with being a role model, especially to young kids who look up to her. “Being famous or not comes with its own set of challenges. More than the pressure, I feel a sense of responsibility. I feel there are so many kids who look up to you, so you have a certain sense of responsibility about how you conduct yourself,” she explains.
Despite the weight of public expectations, Mirza remains true to herself. “I try to be myself as much as I can in the public eye. I feel humbled and honoured to be in this position. I speak from my heart,” she says, speaking candidly about her journey and the challenges of balancing fame, family, and professional commitments.
As her career continues to flourish, there’s no doubt that Sania Mirza’s story remains one of perseverance, passion, and inspiration—qualities that would undoubtedly make for a captivating biopic when the time is right.
