SEVENTEEN’s Jun teams up with Jackie Chan for The Shadow’s Edge film

Wen Junhui, known as Jun from the popular K-pop group SEVENTEEN, will star alongside legendary actor Jackie Chan in the upcoming action-packed crime thriller The Shadow’s Edge. The Chinese film is set to release in 2025.

On 18 January, the film’s official first-look poster was unveiled, creating excitement among fans. The poster features an action-filled scene with Jackie Chan hiding behind a wall with a gun, while actor Tony Leung Ka-Fai is positioned on the opposite side, seemingly ready to strike. Jun appears at the far end of a corridor, hinting at a tense and suspenseful atmosphere.

According to reports from Koreaboo, Jun plays the antagonist, Hu Feng, in the film. The plot centres around a dangerous conflict between a ruthless criminal organisation and the police, who are determined to stop them. Jackie Chan portrays a seasoned detective, while Tony Leung Ka-Fai takes on the role of Hu Feng’s adoptive father and the main villain of the film.

Directed by Larry Yang, best known for his 2015 film Mountain Cry, The Shadow’s Edge promises to deliver gripping action sequences and compelling drama. Jun’s participation in the film marks another milestone in his career as an actor. He shared glimpses of the set on Instagram, including a photo with Jackie Chan, where Jun is seen flashing a double thumbs-up while Jackie Chan points at his young co-star.

Jun has experience in the film industry, with his debut in the 2007 drama The Pye-Dog, which earned him several accolades, including a Hong Kong Film Award. He has also featured in other films such as The Legend Is Born: Ip Man and television dramas like Exclusive Fairy Tale, Mother’s Garden, and Cloudy with a Chance of Sunshine.

Fans are eagerly anticipating The Shadow’s Edge for its star-studded cast and intense storyline, marking a significant collaboration between Jun and the iconic Jackie Chan.
