Charli XCX is making waves in the film industry, shifting from pop sensation to burgeoning film producer and actress. Following her success with the hit album Brat, the singer is set to take on a bold new challenge in 2025 with The Moment, an A24 film based on her own original idea.

The film, which will mark the debut project under Charli’s Studio365 production banner, is currently shrouded in mystery, with plot details kept tightly under wraps. What we do know is that Aidan Zamiri, a photographer turned filmmaker, will direct, while he also co-writes the script with Bertie Brandes, who previously worked on Charli’s 360 music video. Charli’s long-time collaborator A.G. Cook will provide the original music, making this a true Charli XCX-led production.

While The Moment is still very much under wraps, Charli’s burgeoning acting career is clearly taking shape. She has lined up a number of exciting projects, including roles in Cathy Yan’s The Gallerist, Gregg Araki’s I Want Your Sex, and Romain Gavrais’ Sacrifice. In these films, Charli will share the screen with some big names, including Olivia Wilde, Anya Taylor-Joy, Chris Evans, Natalie Portman, and Catherine Zeta-Jones, just to name a few.

With such an impressive slate ahead, it’s clear that Charli is stepping into a new era of her career — and The Moment is bound to be one of the most anticipated films of the year. For now, we’ll just have to wait and see what she has in store.

Stay tuned, brats. The cinema is calling.
