Sohum Shah’s Crazxy gets surprise climax upgrade following audience demand

It’s not every day that a film gets a second shot at its own ending – but Sohum Shah’s Crazxy is proving that sometimes, stories evolve with the audience.

Responding to fan feedback, the makers of the psychological thriller have tweaked the film’s climax to deliver a more immersive and gripping finale, with a few unexpected surprises in store. The updated version will hit cinemas from this Friday.

The movie was released in theatres on 28 February, and the rare move comes in response to viewers who felt the film’s ending could delve deeper into its psychological themes. A source close to the production shared: “The overwhelming response to Crazxy inspired this decision. Audiences wanted a more intense and layered conclusion, and the team has worked tirelessly to refine the climax  adding fresh elements to heighten the tension and emotional impact.”

Sohum, who stars in and co-produces the film, personally announced the news on Instagram. In his heartfelt message, he acknowledged the pivotal role of audience feedback in shaping the film’s journey:
“Making films is only half the journey – your love completes it. Many of you shared that you wanted more from the climax, and we hear you. We’ve made the ending more immersive, thrilling, and insightful – with a little surprise thrown in too.”

This revamped version marks a rare example of dynamic filmmaking, where creators not only engage with their audience but actively reshape their stories based on public sentiment. The move speaks to the film’s growing popularity and the strong connection it has forged with viewers.

Directed by Girish Kohli, Crazxy follows a mind-bending narrative that blends psychological intrigue with dark, unsettling themes.
