Bollywood actor Triptii Dimri has reached a significant global milestone in her career, becoming the first Indian brand ambassador for Victoria’s Secret, the American fashion label.
The announcement, made on 9 April 2026, places Dimri at the forefront of the brand’s new Summer Signature campaign, positioning her as the face of its evolving identity in India and beyond.
With this appointment, Dimri becomes the first Indian celebrity to officially represent Victoria’s Secret in an ambassadorial capacity. While Indian-origin models have previously walked in the brand’s fashion shows, no Indian actor or public figure has held a formal ambassadorial role with the label until now.
The collaboration also signals a broader shift in the brand’s positioning, which in recent years has embraced themes of confidence, individuality and inclusivity. Dimri leads the Summer Signature campaign, which highlights relaxed sleepwear designs centred on both comfort and style.
The campaign further underscores Victoria’s Secret’s growing focus on the Indian market, with Dimri serving as a cultural bridge in this expansion.
Speaking about the partnership, Dimri described the moment as deeply personal and meaningful, calling it a “dream come true” and a defining milestone in her journey. She also noted that the brand’s evolving definition of beauty strongly resonates with her, particularly its emphasis on confidence, authenticity and embracing every version of oneself.
Beyond a personal achievement, Dimri’s appointment is being seen as part of a wider cultural shift in the global fashion industry. While representation of South Asian talent has gradually increased in recent years, particularly through runway appearances and international beauty campaigns, formal ambassadorial roles with established Western brands have remained relatively limited.
In this context, Dimri’s new role may help pave the way for greater opportunities for Indian actors, models and creatives to gain visibility and recognition on the global fashion stage.
