Actress Avika Gor, who rose to fame playing the iconic Anandi in Balika Vadhu, has tied the knot with Milind in a wedding that was broadcast live on reality show Pati Patni Aur Panga.
Sharing a series of pictures from the celebrations on Instagram, Avika captioned her post: “Baalika se Vadhu tak,” marking her journey from a young girl on screen to becoming a wife in real life.
The wedding festivities unfolded as part of Pati Patni Aur Panga, with hosts Munawar Faruqui and Sonali Bendre leading the show. Fellow celebrity couples including Hina Khan and Rocky Jaiswal, Swara Bhaskar and her husband, Debina Bonerjee and Gurmeet Choudhary, and Sudesh Lahiri with his wife were all in attendance.
Avika’s career began with Ssshhhh…Koi Hai in 2007 before she shot to stardom with her role in Balika Vadhu, which also earned her the Rajiv Gandhi Award in 2009. She went on to star in Sasural Simar Ka as well as films such as 1920: Horrors of the Heart and Bloody Ishq.
She made her Tollywood debut with Uyyala Jampala in 2013 and was most recently seen in the Telugu-language crime thriller Shanmukha, released on 21 March. Directed by Shanmugam Sappani, the action-packed drama also starred Aadi Saikumar and featured music by KGF composer Ravi Basrur.
With her latest milestone, Avika’s journey from child star to celebrated actress and now bride, continues to capture the spotlight.
