Yash Raj Films has released a new song from the highly anticipated Mardaani 3, which is set to arrive in cinemas on 30 January 2026. The film sees Rani Mukerji reprise her role as the fearless police officer Shivani Shivaji Roy in the third instalment of the blockbuster franchise.
As excitement builds around Mukerji’s return, the latest song, titled Babbar Sherni, has been unveiled to celebrate the power and presence of her iconic character. The track underlines Shivani’s commanding aura while paying tribute to women in society, portraying them as ‘Babbar shernis’, fearless and unyielding.
Babbar Sherni has been composed, produced and arranged by Sarthak Kalyani, with lyrics by Shruti Shukla, and features a hard-hitting rap segment by Dee MC. The song amplifies the film’s intense tone as Shivani races against time to rescue 93 missing girls while confronting a brutal social crime.
Directed by Abhiraj Minawala and produced by Aditya Chopra, Mardaani continues to hold a unique place in Indian cinema as the country’s only successful female-led franchise and the only one fronted by a female police officer.
Mardaani 3 is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on 30 January 2026.
