The Sun’s front page on Sunday ran the headline ‘1 in 5 Brit Muslims’ sympathy for Jihadis’, which met with a roasting from some politicians and was widely discredited in the media.
However, the Twitteratis sportingly went one step further and starting trending the hashtag #1in5Muslims, with a hilarious spoof of quotes about people of Muslim faith.
One user tweeted “#1in5muslims think Ross and Rachel were on a break” while another added “#1in5Muslims wakes up for fajir just to check their notifications and (then) go back to sleep”.
