Actress Rashmika Mandanna, set to unveil the trailer of her upcoming film Chhaava alongside Vicky Kaushal, was recently spotted arriving in Mumbai from Hyderabad in a wheelchair. The actress, who injured her leg during a gym session, was escorted out of the airport and into her car. Rashmika kept her face partially hidden under a bucket cap and mask but took a moment to wave at the paparazzi.

Last week, the Pushpa 2 actress shared details of her injury on social media, humorously addressing her recovery process. “To my directors, sorry for the delay… I’ll be back soon enough, just making sure my legs are fit for action (or at least fit for hopping). In the meantime, if you need me…I’ll be the one in the corner doing a highly advanced bunny hop workout. HOP HOP HOP,” she joked. Despite her setback, Rashmika’s commitment to her work and playful attitude have resonated with fans.

The makers of Chhaava recently revealed Rashmika’s first look as Maharani Yesubai, the wife of Maratha ruler Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. In the poster, Rashmika is seen in a regal red saree adorned with intricate jewellery, embodying the grandeur and strength of Maharani Yesubai.

Directed by Laxman Utekar and produced under the Maddock Films banner, Chhaava promises to be a stirring tale celebrating the legacy of the Maratha Empire. The film also stars Akshaye Khanna and is scheduled for a theatrical release on 14 February 2025.

Rashmika’s schedule for the year is nothing short of packed. After Chhaava, she will appear alongside Salman Khan in Sikandar, directed by AR Murugadoss, slated for release during Eid 2025. Additionally, she will resume work on her other films, Thama and Kubera.

From portraying a resilient historical queen to humourously addressing her recovery journey, Rashmika continues to win hearts with her dedication and versatility. Fans are eagerly awaiting her powerful performance in Chhaava and the exciting projects she has lined up for 2025.
