Mrunal Thakur recently took a trip to the cinema with her father to watch Kangana Ranaut’s Emergency, and it’s safe to say the experience left a lasting impact. The Sita Ramam actress was so moved by the film that she dedicated an Instagram appreciation post to Kangana and the entire team behind the historical drama.
Sharing glimpses from the film, Mrunal wrote, “I just watched #Emergency in theatres with my father, and I’m still reeling from the experience! As a huge fan of Kangana Ranaut, I’ve been eagerly waiting to see this film on the big screen—AND IT WAS A MASTERPIECE.”
Mrunal calls Kangana an ‘inspiration’
Reflecting on Kangana’s journey as an actor and filmmaker, Mrunal expressed admiration for her ability to consistently push boundaries. “From Gangster to Queen, Tanu Weds Manu to Manikarnika, Thalaivi and now Emergency, Kangana has always inspired me with her incredible talent. This film is no exception—every detail, from the camera work and costumes to the performances, was absolutely top-notch!”
She went on to praise Kangana’s directorial skills, calling her vision extraordinary. “Kangana, you’ve outdone yourself as a director! My favourite scene? The army officer’s poignant moment with the binoculars, transitioning to the other side of the riverbank—it captured the emotion so perfectly. The screenplay, dialogues, music, and editing were all seamlessly engaging.”
Mrunal also applauded the performances of the supporting cast, including Shreyas Talpade, Mahima Chaudhary, Anupam Kher, the late Satish Kaushik, and Milind Soman, calling their portrayals stellar.
Urging her followers to catch the film in theatres, Mrunal wrote, “If you haven’t seen #Emergency yet, do yourself a favour and watch it on the big screen! It’s a must-watch for every Indian. I guarantee you’ll leave inspired, motivated, and maybe even a little tearful. Thank you, Kangana and the entire team of Emergency, for creating this masterpiece!”
She concluded with a powerful comparison, “Mrs Indira Gandhi was one of the most powerful women in Indian history, and now we have Miss Kangana Ranaut—one of the most gifted, talented, and courageous actresses of Indian cinema!”
To cap off her heartfelt tribute, Mrunal shared a picture of the Emergency crew hard at work, adding, “It takes courage to have a dream, but those who choose to see your dream through their eyes choose love and courage both.”
With such glowing praise, it’s clear that Emergency has struck a chord with audiences—including Bollywood’s finest.
