Bollywood action star John Abraham’s much-awaited thriller The Diplomat has been pushed back-but the wait promises to be worth it. Originally set to release on 7 March, the film will now hit cinemas on 14 March, just in time for the Holi weekend.

T-Series Films broke the news on Instagram with a dramatic update:
“The wait gets longer, but his impact only grows stronger. #TheDiplomat now arrives on 14th March.”

Directed by Shivam Nair, The Diplomat is inspired by true events and follows Abraham in a gripping role as real-life Indian diplomat J.P. Singh. The film dives into the world of international diplomacy, intelligence, and high-stakes negotiations—where words can be just as powerful as weapons.

The trailer, which dropped on 14 February, offers a thrilling glimpse into the film’s intense narrative. It was strategically released on the birth anniversary of the late Sushma Swaraj, paying tribute to her crucial role in 2017, when she supported J.P. Singh in a daring mission to bring India’s daughter back home.

Alongside John Abraham, the film features an ensemble cast, including Sadia Khateeb, Sharib Hashmi, Revathy, and Kumud Mishra. Backed by T-Series, JA Entertainment, Wakaoo Films, and Fortune Pictures, The Diplomat promises a mix of action, intrigue, and patriotism.

John, last seen in Nikkhil Advani’s action drama Vedaa, continues to push boundaries with powerful, real-life inspired roles.

Mark your calendars-14 March is when The Diplomat takes over the big screen. Will you be watching?
