Tom Holland has reportedly suffered a minor injury while filming his latest superhero film Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
The 29-year-old actor was rushed to hospital on 22 September after an accident at Leavesden Studios in Watford, where he was diagnosed with a “mild concussion”. New details have since emerged, with The Sun reporting that the incident was caused by a pull ring line snapping during a stunt sequence, leaving Holland with a bump on the head.
A source told the publication’s Bizarre column: “The accident wasn’t as bad as people think. A line snapped on a pull ring and he got a bump on his bonce. Filming was supposed to start again in London on Thursday, but for now the production team have been told to stand down for two weeks. Tom has been taking it easy as he had a suspected concussion and no one wants him to rush back to set.”
Another source spilled Radar Online: “People are furious with Tom. The accident wasn’t serious, but the actor is insisting on taking the full two weeks off,” said an insider who has already been working to a tight schedule ahead of its release date in July 2026.
Interestingly, the source close to the industry shared, “Everyone understands safety comes first, but he’s left the crew twiddling their thumbs while costs soar. Some feel he’s milking it.”
Despite the temporary production halt, the film’s release date of 31 July 2026 remains unaffected.
The mishap reportedly occurred a day before Holland appeared at a London charity event in support of his brothers. He attended the fundraiser with actress partner Zendaya, where he hosted a quiz to raise money for a family charity
