The release of the most anticipated movie of the summer, ‘Jugjugg Jeeyo’, has finally arrived in a full-on family teaser of the romantic comedy film.
The trailer shows a symmetrical story of how two couples of the same family are struggling with divorce because of post-marriage issues.
Opening with a wedding scene of Kuku and Naina, played by Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani, the following scenes show that they are frustrated with their marriage and ready for divorce.
While the older couple has a different story, the character of Bheem, played by Anil Kapoor, has fallen in love with a younger woman and planning to tell Neetu Kapoor about ‘the other woman’.
Since the trailer for Jugjugg Jeeyohas been released, anticipation and buzz are building amongst fans, as makers have created more hype by releasing the film’s first track called ‘The Punjaabban Song’.
The song is a true blue Bollywood song with unmatchable energy and has been dubbed a party playlist hit. The track begins with Neetu Kapoor’s entry with her on-screen son Varun Dhawan and Maniesh Paul by her side, as they are then joined by Kiara Advani and Anil Kapoor on the dance floor.
After the foot-tapping beats of The Punjabbaan Song comes the release of the second sizzling song from the film titled Rangisari, which features Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani.
The music video of the song starts with both entering a dance club together and becoming attracted to one another and following a performance by the duo in the hook step, which features solo scenes of them being showered with colours.
The song is a rendition of the late classical vocalist Shobha Gurtu’s popular song Rangi Saari, with the new version sung and composed by Kanishk Seth and Kavita Seth.
Presented by Viacom 18 and Dharma Productions, Jugjugg Jeeyo stars Bollywood stud Varun Dhawan, Neetu Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Prajakta Koli, Manish Paul and the ethereal Kiara Advani, who starred in the 2019 box office hit Kabir Singh, alongside Shahid Kapoor.
The movie is directed by Raj Mehta and produced by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Hiroo Johar and is set to release worldwide on 24th June 2022.
