The teaser of Netflix’s anthology ‘Ajeeb Daastaans’ is out, starring an incredible ensemble of Nushrratt Bharuccha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Shefali Shah, Konkona Sen Sharma, Jaideep Ahlawat and Abhishek Banerjee.
Netflix India dropped the teaser on Twitter. The anthology will follow four strangely contrasting stories which delve into fractured relationships and unexplored spaces. The stories are based in varied settings and explore jealousy, entitlement and prejudices.
In the teaser, Fatima Sana Shaikh plays a new bride for her wedding night. The clip then goes on to show glimpses of Konkona Sen Sharma, who seems to be a powerful, strong-headed woman, sipping tea and later consistently punching a man on his face.
In another clip, Aditi Rao Hydari is seen driving a scooter with Konkona riding behind. Actress Nushrratt Bharuccha is seen as a sari-clad mother of a school girl. She is later seen being slapped by a policewoman.
The intertwining of these different narratives appears to be non-sensical at this point, but it seems that these stories will intertwine with one another at certain points.
‘Ajeeb Daastaans’ will release on Netflix on April 16.
