Amazon Prime India has come under fire a lot recently for different controversies, including the Tandav controversy which occurred in January over anti-Hindu sentiments. Now, the Bombay High Court has ordered Amazon Primer to take down the film ‘V’ within the next 24 hours.

The Telugu film features a scene in which the actress Sakshi Malik has her photo used without permission. The photo used portrayed Malik as a prostitute. The actress filed a petition to have her image removed from the project immediately, labelling it an invasion of privacy. It has been found be the court that the use of this image was illegal.

The court has henceforth ordered Amazon to completely take down the project in all its version until the use of the image can be rectified. The case will be further heard on March 8.
