A BRADFORD theatre company is spreading joy in difficult times by delivering arts packs to families in lockdown.

Bloomin’ Buds decided to take resources to the doors of families that may struggle to buy resources and support home schooling.

It means that families are not cut off from the arts during the nationwide lockdown, and allows children to keep creative without the resources of their schools.

The group has also distributed packs to elderly people that include CDs with music on to combat isolation and loneliness.

Members of the group are also ringing and keeping in regular contact with all the participants that attended Boomin’ Buds weekly sessions that were cancelled due to the Coronavirus advice.

So far 35 packages have been handed out, with a further 70 due to be delivered in the coming days.

Packs have also been emailed to families.

The group was set up to increase access to the arts for people from working class backgrounds.
