Zendaya and Pattinson’s ‘perfect’ love cracks in ‘The Drama’ trailer

0

The trailer for actors Zendaya and Robert Pattinson’s upcoming film ‘The Drama’ is now out, and it offers a first look at a relationship that is not as perfect as it seems.

The one-minute-twenty-eight-second trailer introduces Emma Harwood, portrayed by Zendaya, a bookstore clerk from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and Charlie Thompson, played by Pattinson, a British museum director living in the United States.

The two appear deeply in love, on the brink of a storybook future as they prepare for their wedding.

However, that idyllic tone takes a sharp turn during a seemingly casual dinner with friends, where an unsettling truth begins to surface.

While the trailer keeps the specifics under wraps, the immediate aftermath hints at a revelation powerful enough to threaten the very foundation of their relationship.

Ari Aster, Lars Knudsen, and Tyler Campellone serve as producers. The film is directed by Kris Borgli and is set to release in cinemas on 3 April.

On the work front, Zendaya might soon be seen in the upcoming third season of HBO’s Euphoria and in Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey, which hits theatres this summer. She will also be part of the voice cast for Shrek 5, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Pattinson, on the other hand, was last seen in Die My Love. He is also set to appear in the forthcoming movies The Odyssey and Dune: Part Three. He will also star opposite Denzel Washington in Netflix’s Here Comes the Flood.

0

The trailer of the much awaited film presented by Zee Studios and Bhansali Productions, Do Deewane Seher Mein is finally out. After striking an emotional chord with its lived-in teaser, Do Deewane Seher Mein starring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Mrunal Thakur now takes the romance a step further and it feels achingly real. The trailer deepens the promise of a modern love story that doesn’t chase perfection, but embraces emotional truth.

Starring Mrunal Thakur and Siddhant Chaturvedi, Do Deewane Seher Mein explores love not as a fairytale, but as an experience, layered, confusing, tender, and quietly transformative. Set against the chaos of a bustling city, the trailer introduces two imperfect individuals who don’t seek to complete each other, but slowly learn to understand one another. Their bond grows through silences, stolen glances, unresolved conversations, and the weight of choices that linger long after they are made.

Sharing the trailer on their social media handle, the makers wrote: “Not every love story is perfect, some are beautiful, like this city itself. It’s time to be part of a love-filled tale.”

Siddhant Chaturvedi and Mrunal Thakur’s magical chemistry looks absolutely endearing. They play characters who are still figuring themselves out, and that’s rare to see in love stories. With genuine romance and emotional depth, they come together as one of the most heart-warming on-screen pairings of the year.

Zee Studios and Bhansali Productions present ‘Do Deewane Seher Mein’, starring Mrunal Thakur and Siddhant Chaturvedi, directed by Ravi Udyawar. The film is produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Prerna Singh, Umesh Kumar Bansal and Bharat Kumar Ranga in association with Ravi Udyawar Films. ‘Do Deewane Seher Mein’ which releases around Valentine’s week is slated for a theatrical release on 20 February 2026 through Marudhar Entertainment.

Red Hot Chili Peppers documentary coming to Netflix

0

Netflix is spicing up its documentary slate with a new film about the Red Hot Chili Peppers, set to premiere on 20 March, as per Variety.

Directed by Ben Feldman (“Bug Out,” “Rich & Shameless”), “The Rise of the Red Hot Chili Peppers” examines the gritty, formative years of the Los Angeles band, and the influence of original guitarist Hillel Slovak, who died in 1988. The film features interviews with bandmates Flea and Anthony Kiedis, as well as others who were close to Slovak, who discuss the band’s early evolution and the deep bond of their childhood friendship.

The film will provide a rare, intimate glimpse into the rock music force behind songs like “Under the Bridge” and “Californication.” With a career spanning more than 40 years, Red Hot Chili Peppers have become one of the highest-selling bands in history, hawking more than 120 million records worldwide.

Produced by Asta Entertainment, Submarine Entertainment and Polygram Entertainment, “The Rise of the Red Hot Chili Peppers” was secretly screened at Cannes Film Festival last year as it was quietly shopped to buyers. The doc then had invite-only screenings in Los Angeles and New York before landing at Netflix, according to Variety.

“It’s a true honor to partner with Netflix to bring ‘The Rise of the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ to a global audience. At its heart, this is a deeply relatable story ab,out the friendships that shape our identities and the lasting power of the bonds forged in adolescence,” Feldman said in a statement. “What’s less relatable, of course, is that here those friends went on to create one of the greatest rock bands in history. I’m profoundly grateful to the band and to Hillel’s family for their trust and generosity, and to Netflix for helping bring this story to the world stage.”

Only two original song nominees are to perform live at Oscars

0

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has confirmed that only two of this year’s best original song nominees will be performed live during the 98th Academy Awards on March 15, citing time constraints and broader structural changes to the telecast, according to Variety.

In a letter sent to all music nominees and that was obtained exclusively by Variety, the Academy emphasised that the best original song category will remain fully integrated into the broadcast, even as live performances are limited to “Golden” from the animated musical “KPop Demon Hunters” and “I Lied to You” from the vampire drama “Sinners.”

The remaining nominees in the category will not have their honored songs performed live. Those include 17-time nominee Diane Warren’s “Dear Me” from her documentary “Diane Warren: Relentless,” Nick Cave and Bryce Dessner’s title song from “Train Dreams” and “Sweet Dreams of Joy” by Nicholas Pike from “Viva Verdi!”

According to Variety, the letter was signed by executive producers Raj Kapoor and Katy Mullan, along with producer Taryn Hurd.

“This year, the best original song nominees are being treated with the same care, storytelling focus and intention as the other awards categories — all of which will be included on the show,” the letter reads.

According to the Academy, each nominated song will be introduced through a custom-produced segment built from footage of the film it was written for, with the goal of grounding each song in its cinematic context. Where appropriate, those packages may also incorporate behind-the-scenes material offering insight into the songwriting process and creative intent.

The producing team also noted that nominees will receive additional promotional support across its official social media platforms, pointing to recent Spotify collaborations and the nominations announcement as examples of that outreach.

According to sources familiar with the planning, staging live performances for all five best original song nominees would add approximately 25 minutes to the telecast, a significant chunk of time for a show that is contractually set to run three hours and 30 minutes. With 24 competitive categories to present, including the newly added casting Oscar, mounting five full musical numbers would inevitably come at the expense of other major moments already planned for the broadcast. This kind of runtime constraint will be eased once the Oscars transition off broadcast television and on YouTube beginning in 2029.

“Given the limited time within the broadcast, the addition of our casting Oscar and a desire to create a fast-paced, entertaining and cohesive show, the live performance focus will be concentrated on two musical moments this year, ‘Sinners’ and ‘KPop Demon Hunters,’” the letter states.

The performances will be framed as segments designed to honor how music helped those stories resonate worldwide. The remaining nominees will be recognized through the bespoke film-based packages rather than live musical numbers.

The letter closes by underscoring the Academy’s intent to honor all nominees on the broadcast. “Your work is an integral part of our cinematic ecosystem, and we so look forward to honoring it on the show.”

Beatles movies photos drop of cast in stunt marketing

0

The first look for ‘The Beatles – A Four-Film Cinematic Event’ is finally out.

The upcoming movie project, which will revolve around the story of the Fab Four across four separate films, has shared its first visual tease of the cast as the legendary band.

The first look was revealed in the form of postcards given out at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts on Thursday. The school was co-founded by Paul McCartney, according to Variety.

Students later shared the cards on Instagram, giving fans their first glimpse of the actors as the iconic band members.

The postcards feature Harris Dickinson as John Lennon, Paul Mescal as Paul McCartney, Joseph Quinn as George Harrison, and Barry Keoghan as Ringo Starr. The project will tell the Beatles’ story through four different films, each one focusing on a different member of the band, Variety reported.

The films also feature a strong supporting cast. Saoirse Ronan will play Linda McCartney, James Norton will appear as Brian Epstein, and Anna Sawai will portray Yoko Ono. Other cast members include Aimee Lou Wood as Pattie Boyd, Mia McKenna-Bruce as Maureen Starkey, and Harry Lloyd as producer George Martin.

Sam Mendes is directing all four films. Each movie will depict events from the perspective of one Beatle. The full project is set to release in cinemas on 7 April, 2028.

When the project was first announced, Mendes said he felt “honored” to tell the story of one of the greatest bands in music history and wanted to bring something new to the big-screen experience.

“I’m honored to be telling the story of the greatest rock band of all time, and excited to challenge the notion of what constitutes a trip to the movies,” Mendes said in a statement, as per Variety.

The films are written by Jez Butterworth, Peter Straughan, and Jack Thorne. The project is backed by Sony Pictures Entertainment along with Sam Mendes’ Neal Street Productions, in association with Apple Corps.

Sydney Sweeney: “I’m a pawn” in politics, but here for art, not debate

0

Actress Sydney Sweeney feels she’s become a “pawn” in political circles in recent months, but she says she’s focused on her acting career, rather than political issues.

Sweeney told Cosmopolitan magazine: “I’ve never been here to talk about politics. I’ve always been here to make art, so this is just not a conversation I want to be at the forefront of.

“And I think because of that, people want to take it even further and use me as their own pawn. But it’s somebody else assigning something to me, and I can’t control that.”

Asked why she doesn’t correct assumptions made about her, Sydney replied: “I haven’t figured it out. I’m not a hateful person. If I say, ‘That’s not true,’ they’ll come at me like, ‘You’re just saying that to look better.’ There’s no winning. There’s never any winning.

“I just have to continue being who I am, because I know who I am. I can’t make everyone love me. I know what I stand for.”

Despite this, the actress says that she’s “not a political person,” reports femalefirst.co.uk.

She explained: “I’m in the arts. I’m not here to speak on politics. That’s not an area I’ve ever even imagined getting into. It’s not why I became who I am. I became an actor because I like to tell stories, but I don’t believe in hate in any form. I believe we should all love each other and have respect and understanding for one another.”

Sweeney was previously criticised for her role in an advertising campaign, which played on the words “jeans” and “genes”.

Talking about the actress, Sweeney gained early recognition for her roles in Everything Sucks!, The Handmaid’s Tale, and Sharp Objects. She received wider reach for her performances in Euphoria and The White Lotus.

In film, Sweeney garnered critical acclaim for her performances in the drama film Reality and for her portrayal of professional boxer Christy Martin in the biopic Christy.
