Manchester’s dining scene has been touched with a bit of Bollywood glamour as Indian restaurant Asha’s opened its doors to the public.

The new venue is a seriously stylish new addition to Peter Street which is inspired and co-owned by Indian singing sensation Asha Bhosle.

The new restaurant and cocktail bar offers a delicious array of Modern Indian Cuisine paired with an exciting,
modern cocktail menu and carefully selected wine list.

Throughout the restaurant portraits of Asha and her family decorate the walls, along with beaded fringing Asha Bhosleinspired by her stage costumes and jewellery.

Asha Bhosle is the inspiration behind the restaurant group, with many of the dishes originating from her own
recipes. She opened her first restaurant at Wafi City, Dubai in 2002, and the brand is now popular all over the Middle East, as well as a highly successful restaurant in Birmingham that has won numerous awards, including a recommendation in the coveted Michelin Guide since 2009, and The Sunday Times top 150 in association with Harden’s Guide.

In 2011 the Guinness Book of World Records officially acknowledged Asha as the most recorded artist in music history, with over 11,000 songs in over 20 Indian languages, and in over 1,000 Bollywood movies.
