Fans have been waiting for more news about Ajith Kumar’s ‘Valimai’ since the project was announced. Finally, Boney Kapoor has confirmed that we will be getting our first peek at the project on May 1, to mark the occasion of Kumar’s 50th birthday.
Taking to his Twitter, the legendary producer stated, “The first look and the promotions of #Valimai will be initiated from May 1st on the occasion of Mr #AjithKumar’s 50th birthday.”

The film is set to be a police thriller and has been directed by Vinoth. It has been reported that ‘Valimai’ will also star Yami Gautam, Ileana D’Cruz and Huma Qureshi.
The project was previously set to release on Diwali this year, but ultimately had to be pushed back thanks to the pandemic. We are still waiting to hear when the film’s rescheduled release date.
