Brad Pitt reportedly believes that Angelina Jolie’s recent red-carpet appearance with their 16-year-old son Knox was more than just a family outing. According to insiders, the Bullet Train star suspects the move was a calculated effort to provoke him as their legal battle over Château Miraval heads to trial.
Knox accompanied Jolie to the 2024 Governors Awards at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, marking his first public appearance in three years. The mother-son duo posed arm-in-arm, sparking speculation from Pitt, who noted the timing closely followed a judge’s decision to move the Château Miraval case to trial.
A source close to Pitt told Page Six, “Brad finds it a bit coincidental that a judge signed off on the [Château] Miraval trial just days before Knox joined Angelina at the Governors Awards. He really questions her motive for bringing Knox.”
While Pitt appears sceptical, sources close to Jolie paint a different picture. According to insiders, Knox made the decision to join his mother at the event, surprising her with his willingness to step into the spotlight. “He typically prefers to stay out of the public eye,” the source said, “but he asked if he could join her, and Angelina was thrilled.”
The insider added, “She couldn’t be more proud of him, and they had a memorable evening together.”
This public appearance comes amid a series of high-profile developments in Jolie and Pitt’s post-divorce saga. In addition to the Château Miraval case, which revolves around ownership and control of the French estate and winery, Pitt has reportedly been hurt by their eldest biological daughter, Shiloh, legally dropping his surname earlier this year.
