Warner Bros. Pictures has unveiled an electrifying new teaser for their upcoming summer blockbuster F1, starring Brad Pitt as a racing superstar. The film, set to hit theatres on 27 June, made its debut during Super Bowl Sunday, giving fans a glimpse of what promises to be a thrilling ride.

In the teaser, Pitt plays a former Formula 1 driver who returns to the sport, now alongside teammate Damson Idris in APXGP, a fictional team. The film is shot during actual Grand Prix weekends, capturing the fast-paced intensity as the team competes with the giants of Formula 1 racing.

The teaser showcases heart-pounding action, with cars speeding across the track and tensions running high as Pitt’s character takes the wheel. Although it doesn’t reveal much about the plot, the teaser sets the tone for the high-octane thrills that await.

F1 also stars Kerry Condon, Tobias Menzies, Kim Bodnia, and Javier Bardem, and is directed by Joseph Kosinski. Produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, Kosinski, Lewis Hamilton, Pitt, Jeremy Kleiner, Dede Gardner, and Chad Oman, the film promises to bring viewers inside the world of Formula 1 like never before.

Brad Pitt is reportedly committed to actively promoting F1 around the globe, with Bruckheimer revealing that, while Pitt typically shies away from press, he’ll be involved in a world tour to showcase his performance both as a driver and an actor.

As for premieres, Bruckheimer hinted that the film may debut in Monaco for F1 drivers and teams before expanding to New York, London, and several other cities. “We’ll certainly show you some of that behind-the-scenes training in the movie,” Bruckheimer added, referencing the intense physical preparation that F1 drivers endure, which will be highlighted in the film.

The film will be presented in IMAX theatres for an immersive viewing experience. It’s made in collaboration with the Formula 1 community, including the teams, drivers, the FIA, and race promoters.

Directed by Kosinski, best known for Top Gun: Maverick, F1 looks set to take audiences on a high-speed journey, diving deep into the world of Formula 1 racing with all its drama, intensity, and emotion.
