A serious road traffic collision has caused a 32 year old rider to be taken to hospital and he is currently in a critical, but stable condition.

The black Yamaha 600 motorcycle was travelling along Legrams Lane towards Ingleby Road, when it left the road and collided with metal railings. The incident that occurred on Saturday 20 September at about 6:17pm, resulted in the rider incurring serious injuries to his chest and arms.

Police are appealing for information or witnesses that may have seen the collision or saw the movements of the bike prior to the incident. Anyone who may have is asked to contact PC 3088 Pickles at the Western Area Roads Policing Unit on 101.
