Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust is planning to share an update on its ‘Shadow Board’ and how it supports leadership development at the organisation.
At its upcoming Board meeting on Thursday 28 February, leaders at the Trust will discuss recent learnings from its ‘Shadow Board’ scheme. This is a staff leadership development scheme which allows senior managers and clinicians to gain an insight into the workings of a Foundation Trust Board and a greater understanding of good clinical and corporate governance. The Shadow Board is supported by the NHS Leadership Academy, and aims to give staff the experience to progress further in their NHS careers.
The Trust’s Director of Human Resources & Organisational Development, Sandra Knight, said: “As an organisation we are committed to the personal and professional development of our senior leadership team and the Shadow Board is a great way for colleagues to gain experience to enhance their careers.”
Members of the public are invited to attend the Board meeting, which takes place on Thursday 28 February, 1:30pm – 4:00pm, at New Mill, Victoria Road, Saltaire, Shipley BD18 3LD.
