A civic reception for the Bradford Bulls took place on yesterday on Wednesday 28th November.

The Lord Mayor of Bradford, Councillor Zafar Ali was delighted to host the reception to celebrate the bulls successfully achieving promotion to the Championship.

After their superb play-off victory against Workington, the players staff and coaches visited City Hall for the special reception.

Lord Mayor of Bradford, Councillor Zafar Ali, said:  “We were delighted to welcome the players and coaching staff to City Hall to celebrate their superb achievement last season. We’re all now looking forward to their season ahead in the Championship.”

Councillor Sarah Ferriby, Executive Member for Healthy People and Places said: “To get promotion to the Championship at the first time of asking was a fantastic achievement. The team really did remarkably well last season only losing 3 matches over the entire season.

“It’s good news for the whole district and we hope that they can make it back-to-back promotions and get back into the Super League where they belong.”

Owner and Chairman of Bradford Bulls, Andrew Chalmers, said: “I’m extremely proud of what the first team have managed to accomplish this year. With the backing of a dedicated coaching staff, determined team mates and an army of loyal fans.

“We would like to thank the Lord Mayor for hosting a Civic Reception to help celebrate the success of the year, bringing a feel good factor to Bradford.”
