Earlier this week, disputable documentary ‘Behind Close Doors’ was aired on Apple TV. This has been the trending news in the world of politics so far since it revolves around political and governmental tactics that were seemingly concealed from public.

Controversy surrounding documentary is much bigger than it appears to be. Including the fact that it allegedly uncovers political secrets for public, the tragic life of one of the cast members also serves significant ground to the release of this documentary.

Arshad Sharif, renowned Pakistani journalist, was killed merely few months prior to when documentary was originally planned to release. Even though his death was termed as an accident, it did not escape people’s attention that he was a major contributor in the making of this documentary.

Michael Oswald, director of documentary pointed out that it is not solely focused on Pakistan’s politics. He mentioned that he plans to uncover the “political dynasties of the developing world who have been revealed in offshore leaks to have assets beyond their known sources of income”

The release had been halt due to numerous reasons. Regardless of what the real issue may have been, the documentary still managed to be aired, much to anyone’s dismay.

What to do now is to wait and see whether it will be taken down by certain authorities or live to be part of history.
