Two of Bollywood’s biggest are set to collaborate once again. Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan will be reuniting for a Hindi remake of the 2015 Hollywood film ‘The Intern’.

Bachchan will be taking on the role played by Robert De Niro in the original whilst Padukone is set to appear in the Anne Hathaway part. In the original, Hathaway played a CEO of a fashion website who formed an unlikely friendship with the company’s new 70-year-old intern. The Warner Bros. film grossed $195 million at the international box office.

This new Hindi remake is set to release next summer. The shoot will begin this November. Padukone is hopping on board as a producer in addition to starring in the project with Warner Bros India and Azure Entertainment also helping to fund the project. ‘The Intern’ will be directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma.

Previously, Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone have appeared in several films together including 2011’s ‘Aarakshan’ and the comedy film ‘Piku’.
