Malayalam superstar Fahadh Faasil, who is currently on a role with a list of hit films, is all set to play the role of a villain in director Lokesh Kanakaraj’s new project ‘Vikram’. The project will mark Faasil’s third Tamil film after ‘Vellaikaran’ and ‘Super Deluxe’, and will see the star acting alongside legendary actor, Kamal Haasan.

Lokesh Kanakaraj is one of the new generation directors to come out of Tamil Nadu. Already the director has made hit films like “Kaithi” starring Suriya’s brother Karthik and ‘Master’ in which Vijay played the hero.

‘Vikram’ will mark the movie no.232 for superstar Kamal Haasan who has several hit movies to his credit. These days, the actor is known mainly for his political work but, with ‘Vikram’, the star will continue his lengthy career. Faasil, on the other hand, is currently having a run of great films. Today (April 7) sees the release of his new film ‘Joji’ which is based on William Shakespeare’s ‘Macbeth’. The film has opened to a strong critical response with Faasil receiving particular praise for his performance.

Anirudh Ravichander will be the music director on the project and the film is produced by Rajkamal Films International. The shoot is likely to commence from the middle of May.
