Promotions for Excel Entertainment and Trigger Happy Studios’ upcoming war drama 120 Bahadur began with a grand launch event in Lucknow, attended by thousands of fans and several dignitaries, including Farhan Akhtar, Sukhwinder Singh, and Narpat Singh Bhati ji, the son of Major Shaitan Singh Bhati, PVC. The emotional gathering also saw the presence of the two surviving heroes of the Battle of Rezang La, Subedar Honorary Captain Ram Chander Yadav Ji and Havildar Nihal Singh Ji, SM, along with the families of the martyrs.
The event marked the release of the film’s first song, “Dada Kishan Ki Jai”, following the teaser and posters that had already offered audiences a glimpse into the extraordinary story of Indian soldiers. The stirring anthem captures the essence of bravery, patriotism, and sacrifice at the heart of 120 Bahadur.
Composed and produced by Salim–Sulaiman, with lyrics by Javed Akhtar and vocals by Sukhwinder Singh, the song embodies the film’s emotional and patriotic core. As the anthem played at the launch, the atmosphere resonated with pride and reverence, paying tribute to India’s bravest.
120 Bahadur chronicles the valour of 120 soldiers from the 13 Kumaon Regiment, who fought heroically in the Battle of Rezang La during the 1962 war. Farhan Akhtar takes on the role of Major Shaitan Singh Bhati, PVC, the commanding officer who led his men against overwhelming odds in one of the most defining moments of Indian military history.
At the heart of the film lies one unyielding spirit, “Hum Peechhe Nahin Hatenge” (“We will not back down”).
Directed by Razneesh ‘Razy’ Ghai and produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar (Excel Entertainment) alongside Amit Chandrra (Trigger Happy Studios), 120 Bahadur is set to release in cinemas on 21 November 2025.
