The trailer for Aabeer Gulaal, starring Fawad Khan and Vaani Kapoor, was unveiled on 28 July 2025, offering audiences a first look at one of the year’s most eagerly awaited romantic dramas. The film is set for worldwide release, excluding India, on 12 September 2025. From its opening moments, the trailer radiates joy and energy, hinting at the playful yet profound journey of Aabeer (Fawad Khan) and Gulaal (Vaani Kapoor).

Described as a “situationship, friendship, relationship”, their story unfolds through serendipitous encounters that transform into something deeper. The narrative introduces Aabeer at a food contest, soon drawing viewers into Gulaal’s spirited world of culinary flair and dance. Their connection takes shape when Aabeer offers one simple but pivotal piece of advice “Make them dance”, sparking a bond that quickly evolves into love.

Just as the warmth of their story builds, the trailer shifts to an unexpected twist, leaving viewers eager for more. Music plays a central role in setting the film’s tone, with three standout tracks already making waves: Khalbaliyaan, billed as the club anthem of 2025; Khudaya Ishq, a romantic ballad winning hearts; and Doriyan, a haunting track that captures the ache of heartbreak. Alongside Khan and Kapoor, the film features performances by Lisa Haydon, Soni Razdan, Farida Jalal, Parmeet Sethi and Ridhi Dogra. Directed by Aarti S. Bagdi and produced by Vivek B. Agrawal, Aabeer Gulaal is presented by Indian Stories (UK), with music by Amit Trivedi and lyrics by Kumaar.

Described as a celebration of second chances and unspoken connections, the film promises to blend laughter, longing and love in equal measure.
