In a candid conversation with Bollywood Hungama, Samantha opened up about her career choices, upcoming projects, and why she’s done staying away from sets.

When asked whether she was being extra selective with her projects and if she’d ever consider producing her own films, Samantha admitted:

“I think you’ve answered the question yourself. Yes, I am producing the films that I want to be a part of, and Bangaram will finally go on floors next month. I’m very excited about that. I also need to complete Raj & DK’s series Rakta Brahmand and another film, which will start in about two months. So yes, definitely a lot of work is kicking off soon. And yeah, I think I’m done being away from filming. It is my first true love.”

For the last couple of years, Samantha’s health had been a topic of concern among her fans. The actress revealed that she has been living with Myositis, an autoimmune disease that causes the body’s immune system to attack its own muscles. This condition, which led to noticeable weight loss, sparked concern among her followers last year.

However, Samantha made it clear in the interview that her health is now in a much better state, allowing her to return to her work with greater strength and determination than ever before.

The actress has also been candid about her health journey, sharing her experiences on social media and through her health podcast, Take 20. Her transparency has inspired many, as she continues to advocate for better understanding and care regarding autoimmune diseases.

Rumours have been swirling about Samantha’s dating life, particularly regarding her alleged connection with producer Raj Nidimoru after pictures of them at a pickleball event went viral. However, when asked about her relationship status, the actress shut down the gossip with a firm stance:

“Samantha is single. I don’t think I will ever be discussing my love life again. That’s a part of my life that I choose to keep extremely private, and I will not be talking about it again.

Whether she’s dating or not, Samantha remains steadfast in her decision to keep that aspect of her life away from the prying eyes of the media.

A topic close to Samantha’s heart is the safety and well-being of women in the entertainment industry. As an established actress and a rising producer, she is keenly aware of the challenges women face within the industry and in her everyday life and vowed to do her part in making a difference:

“It’s always going to be a work in progress” she said

“As a woman, actor, and producer, I think I’m in a position to help, and this is something that’s important to me. All I can say is that I promise to do my best for those around me. It’s a kind of oath—I will always think of the women around me with every decision I make, whether in business or in my daily life.”

With multiple projects lined up and a renewed passion for her craft, it’s clear that Samantha is ready to take on 2025 with full force-on her own terms.
