Free school uniforms will be made available for Kirklees pupils returning to school in September.
Batley and Birstall Excellence in Schools Together hub (BBEST) and Uniform Exchange are working together to provide free, recycled school uniforms to school children in the Birstall and Batley areas.
The organisations aim to provide uniforms for as many families and children as possible who may struggle financially to provide their children with uniform for the new school term.
Lisa Varley, representing BBEST Hub, said: “’We are really proud to have become part of this project and also to promote this service to the families of the children in our care.
“Uniform Exchange are a registered charity whose aim is to ensure all children have access to appropriate clothing for school, it’s is a great way for pre-worn clothing to be recycled and reused.”
BBEST Hub and Uniform Exchange are still looking for donations.
