Yashvardhan Ahuja, son of Bollywood legend Govinda, is all set to make his acting debut in a romantic film directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Sai Rajesh. The film, which remains untitled for now, is produced by Madhu Mantena, Allu Aravind, and SKN Films. It is rumoured to be a unique love story and a continuation of Govinda’s enduring legacy in the industry.

Yashvardhan secured the role after a successful audition and is expected to begin shooting in 2025. The search for the female lead is currently underway, with renowned casting director Mukesh Chhabra leading a nationwide talent hunt. Over 14,000 audition clips have been received so far, as the team aims to introduce a fresh pairing to the audience. The female protagonist is expected to be finalised soon, with plans to commence filming by summer 2025.

In addition to the promising cast, the team is also focusing on crafting a soulful and original music album, recognising the crucial role music plays in romantic films. With Sai Rajesh at the helm, the film is set to offer an engaging and emotional cinematic experience for audiences.

However, reactions on X (formerly Twitter) have been mixed, with many questioning the decision. One user quipped, “Is it just a rumour?” while others responded with snarky comments like, “Another nepo baby alert.” Some have even speculated the project could be a “disaster” based on the family connection, reflecting the ongoing scepticism towards star children making their way into Bollywood. Despite these reactions, the film is already generating buzz, and only time will tell how it fares once it hits the big screen.
