Jake Paul is set to square off once again in the ring against Tyron Woodley after Tommy Fury pulled out of the fight after suffering from a broken rib in training.
The fight which was depicted as a true test for Paul in finally competing against a boxer didn’t materialise but Tyron Woodley was eager to jump on and fight his former dance partner in the ring.
Jake fought Woodley on 29 August in Jakes’ home state of Cleveland, Ohio. After going the distance and Jake getting staggered, the fight ended in a majority decision with Jake winning.
Immediately after the fight, Woodley believed he was robbed of winning and wanted an immediate rematch. However, Jake agreed the rematch would only happen if Woodley got a tattoo of ‘I love Jake Paul’ somewhere on his body.
Days later, Woodley posted on his Instagram profile of the tattoo which he had got on his middle finger, but fans were quick to say it wasn’t real. Woodley then showed a video to prove those who believed he was lying, and fans started to believe him.

Despite getting the tattoo, which he promised he would get, Jake did not respond nor did his team.
In the part one episode of Showtime: All Access, which showcases fighters behind the gloves, their lifestyle and in general the lead up to a fight Jake expressed his views on what happened.
Jake expressed, “He was actually DM’ing me on Instagram, talking about the rematch, how he had gotten the tattoo.
“It seemed like he was drunk when he was DM’ing me and I was like man, you missed your shot”.
Woodley expressed his own views which transpired after the fight and said, “He’s not a man of his word by the way. I get the tattoo, I waited around all f****** night and didn’t hear anything off his management team or anything off him.
“The first time I found out that we weren’t rematching, when they announced he was fighting Tommy and I was like, he’s a b****”.
From all rematches over the years, they’re always soaked up in bitterness and emotion and the rematch between Paul and Woodley isn’t any different.
Both fighters want to prove they have what it takes to beat each other, and one interesting clause Jake has put into the fight is, Woodley will receive a $500,000 bonus if he knocks Jake out.
The clause was set into place after fans expressed on social media after the fight that the bout between the two seemed rigged as Woodley didn’t capitalise on his opportunity after hurting Paul.
What do you think of the fight? Do you think Woodley will finally beat Jake and avenge his defeat or does Jake beat Woodley and go on to fighting Tommy in the new year?
