The film has been shooting with Shah Rukh Khan since last November. It has officially been announced today that John Abraham will join the star on set from April 2. Abraham is set to play the antagonist in the film.
Since the film began shooting, Abraham has been working on ‘Satyameva Jayate 2’, ‘Ek Villain Returns’ and ‘Attack’, as well as promoting his recent box office hit ‘Mumbai Saga’. Many fans have been left wondering when the actor would squeeze ‘Pathan’ into his jam packed schedule, but it appears that Abraham will be on set by the end of this week.
The actor will meet SRK on set at YRF Studios to film on studio sets for a short period, before they will be joined by Padukone as they do a marathon location shoot overseas, including Russia and UAE. The film is expected to shoot until June.
‘Pathan’ is set to be an espionage thriller. The film is being produced by ‘Aditya Chopra’ and is set to release in 2022. The film will end Shah Rukh Khan’s three-year hiatus and mark his big return to the screen.
