The London Palestine Film Festival (LPFF) is set to return this November with its boldest programme yet, bringing powerful stories of Palestinian life, culture and resistance to UK screens.

Running from 14 to 28 November 2025, this year’s edition not only takes over London’s leading venues but, for the first time, will also host screenings and events in Liverpool, extending the festival’s reach beyond the capital.

Opening the festival at the Barbican is The Voice of Hind Rajab, directed by Kaouther Ben Hania. Already a standout on the international festival circuit, the award-winning film tells the harrowing story of six-year-old Hind Rajab, whose final moments during the Gaza bombardment gripped headlines around the world. The screening will be followed by a discussion with actors Amer Hlehel and Motaz Malhees.

LPFF 2025 closes with two high-profile events on 28 November. At the ICA, audiences will see a specially curated shorts programme exploring memory, sound and survival in Gaza, while Riverside Studios will host Jordan’s official Oscar entry All That’s Left of You, directed by Cherien Dabis, a moving portrait of three generations of a Palestinian family navigating exile and inherited trauma.

One of the festival’s most urgent works is The Mission, making its UK premiere. Directed by The Gaza Collective and Mike Lerner, the documentary follows British-Iraqi surgeon Dr Mohammed Tahir on his third humanitarian mission to Gaza. Shot inside operating rooms under bombardment, the film offers an unflinching look at frontline medicine and will be accompanied by a Q&A with Dr Tahir and Lerner.

Other highlights include Palestine 36 by Annemarie Jacir, praised by audiences and artists such as Riz Ahmed as “essential viewing” as well as Once Upon a Time in Gaza by the Tarzan Brothers, alongside new works from acclaimed filmmakers Yasmin Fedda, Sepideh Farsi and Kamal Aljafari.

Festival founder Khaled Ziada said this year’s line-up feels “more urgent than ever.” He added: “Each edition spotlights stories of political realities as experienced by Palestinians, both at home and in the diaspora, through the creative lens of cinema. Opening with The Voice of Hind Rajab, a film that speaks to both the fragility and resilience of Palestinian life, feels especially timely.”

With its combination of acclaimed features, UK premieres and thought-provoking conversations, LPFF 2025 looks set to deliver one of the most compelling celebrations of Palestinian cinema to date.
