Everyone vividly remembers the iconic duo of Munna and Circuit, played by Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi. Munnabhai MBBS in 2003 set the carpet rollling and Lage Raho Munnabhai in 2006 was an equivalent hit among fans.
The two movies have now gained a cult status, with fans, waiting over 17 years, for the third instalment.
However, if a viral video is to be believed, Munnabhai 3 might be on its way.
The video, which found its way on the internet on 14 September, features Sanjay Dutt, in his Munna get-up of an orange shirt, accompanying Rajkumar Hirani. As the duo enter, Rajkumar Hirani can be heard exclaiming, “Munna is back!”.
As he says this, we find Arshad Warsi, in his Circuit get up enter and greet Sanjay Dutt, before saying, “..and we’re back”
While there’s no official announcement, this video has sparked wild speculations and excitement among fans that the third instalment of Munnabhai may well be on the cards.
Munnabhai MBBS, released in 2003, was directed by Rajkumar Hirani, it revolved around Sanjay Dutt, who played a street ruffian, who is determined to become a doctor.
While Lage Raho Munnabhai, also directed by Hirani, sees Sanjay as Munna, try to follow the principles of Mahatma Gandhi, as he encounters problems in his life.
