It has only been four months since ‘The Crown’ series 4 premiered and we got to witness Emma Corrin’s fantastic turn as Lady Diana. Now, Pablo Larrain’s film ‘Spencer’, based on the the late princess, has already begun filming, and it has now been revealed that ‘Poldark’ star Jack Farthing will be the Charles to Kristen Stewart’s Diana.
‘Spencer’ focuses in on a particular weekend of Lady Diana’s life. The film will follow the princess, as she spent Christmas with the Royals at Sandringham. It is generally believed that that is the weekend Diana made the decision to end her marriage to the future king.
In addition to announcing Farthing as Charles, ‘Spencer’ has announced that it will also star Timothy Spall, Sally Hawkins and Sean Harris. Before now, the film has been shooting in Germany since January, but has now moved to the UK. It is set to release later this year. A photo was recently released of Stewart as Diana, which went viral.
‘Spencer’ is written by Steven Knight, best known for his work on the TV series ‘Peaky Blinders’. Its director, Pablo Larrain, directed ‘Jackie’, for which Natalie Portman received much critical appraise for her performance as Jackie Kennedy.
