Bollywood couple Rajkummar Rao and Patralekhaa are set to embark on a new chapter in their lives, having announced their first pregnancy through a touching social media post. The actors shared a joint message on their official Instagram accounts that read, “Baby on the way – Patralekhaa & Rajkummar.”
The heart warming announcement was met with a flurry of congratulatory messages from fans, friends, and industry colleagues alike. Actor Varun Dhawan commented, “Congratualtionsssssss” alongside five red-heart emojis. Filmmaker Farah Khan expressed her joy by writing, “Finally the news is out!! I was having a tough time keeping it to myself… congratulations.”

Actress Sonam Kapoor shared her happiness, saying, “So happy for you both my dear friends,” while Pulkit Samrat added, “Wowwwww!! Rajkummar and Patralekhaa’s love story has long been admired by fans. The Stree actor first noticed Patralekhaa in an advertisement and found her to be exceptionally charming, even wishing to meet her one day. Their paths eventually crossed while working together on Hansal Mehta’s 2014 drama CityLights, and the two soon fell in love.
In October 2021, Rajkummar proposed to Patralekhaa, and the couple tied the knot in November 2021 in an intimate ceremony surrounded by close family and friends.
On the professional front, Rajkummar Rao is eagerly awaiting the release of his upcoming gangster drama Maalik. Directed by Pulkit, the film features former Miss World Manushi Chhillar as the female lead, marking her first on-screen collaboration with Rajkummar. Maalik is produced by Kumar Taurani under the Tips Films banner, alongside Jay Shewakramani of Northern Lights Films, and is slated for a theatrical release on 11 July this year.
